Shady practices of internet marketers.
I have been online for about six months now and have attempted to start an online marketing business. At first glance, it would appear that anyone would be able to do this; that is if you listen to the Gurus and their underlings. They all say that you can make thousands in a very short time period if you follow their easy instructions. Most times these instructions are unclear at best and misleading at worst. Some will sell you a future filled with fast cars, expensive homes and a lifestyle of liesure-in-a-box. After buying into their salespitch you find the box is empty or you must continue to purchase other boxes to make the original one work. Most, if not all, tell you to use other people's work and rebrand it for yourself creating an expert on any subject where there is none. I have even been directed to go to certain sites where there are hundreds of writers waiting to write copy, articles or ezines on my behalf. They will then give me the right to say I am the author. So, how many experts are there giving false claim to be an expert? The worst that I have found is an offer which states what you will receive in exchange for your money. Later, when you ask for what has been paid for, they say sorry you will have to pay for an upgraded membership to receive that. So, in conclusion, if you are considering internet marketing, beware of snake oil salesmen. Keep this in mind that it is not easy unless you are willing to compromise your integrity and commit to the idea that the ends justify the means. I will continue my search for success in internet marketing for now. I just love beating my head against a wall. However, I will not compromise myself for money and will always do my level best to help those who depend on me. Daniel McAvoy |
